VWTH Staff Wins Leadership Award

February 26th, 2013

VWTH is  thrilled to extend warm congratulations to  our Education and Volunteer Coordinator Dianne de Champlain who received the Victoria Leadership Excellence Award  for Coaching and Mentoring last night at the Victoria Leadership Awards ceremony.

Dianne was one of 4 outstanding leaders nominated. Dianne developed a mentorship certification program and facilitated training for mentors and mentees. She facilitated hundreds of educational sessions on topics of leadership, communication, and public speaking. As Education Coordinator here at VWTH she uses innovative approached to assist women who experienced abuse to envision a new future. As Volunteer Program Coordinator she has mentored over 300 volunteers.  She has been active on several boards and committees, coordinated the Victoria Community Response Network (CRN) and initiated many projects that support individual and community development.

We are so pleased to congratulate her on her outstanding service to VWTH and her community! Check out a photo of Dianne with her award here.

Thank You!

Apologies – Phone Disruption at Our Community Office

December 19th, 2012

The voice mail system at the VWTH Community Office has been having problems since last week.  People calling from outside are unable to get through to the extensions if the receptionist is not there to pick up, and the mail box does not accept any voice mails.  Our technician has been trying to fix it, he is expected to arrive with a new system today and hopefully everything will be back to normal soon. Many thanks for your patience – in the meantime email is the best way to reach us info@vwth.bc.ca
