35th Anniversary
Thank you for all the support and assistance through this difficult part of my journey. I wouldn’t have been able to make the changes I have without such a wonderful group of women and without such a safe haven. ~Shelter Client
Since 1974, Victoria Women’s Transition House Society (VWTHS) has been empowering women , with or without children, who want to end the cycle of abuse.
- We believe that violence against women is unacceptable.
- We recognize that violence against women is a highly complex issue best understood in the context of broader societal issues of women’s equality and empowerment.
A response requires a strategy that not only addresses the root causes of violence, but also provides immediate and effective services to the women in need of help.
If we wish to create a humane and just society, we each must look at what we can to to eliminate abuse and violence against women in our community.
Together we can end the cycle of abuse and build a better society that respects and values all its members, especially the women and children who are most vulnerable.
We invite you to join the 35th Anniversary Campaign to End Violence Against Women
