Dear Friends,

I want to express my deepest appreciation and millions of “Thank Yous” to the staff and volunteers, as well as donors for our Christmas Hamper last month. In times of turmoil for us your initial phone call for offering it brought joy and hope. For the weeks after, I felt like we were not forgotten, nor let alone. This feeling of being part of our community gave me the courage to continue to overcome my daily challenges. I was able to save/use money in a prudent way for our daily needs, and also to help pay for huge medical/rehab bills from my injuries sustained in the past. I can’t envision how I would have been able to afford many presents for my son nor to even have the physical stamina and strength to shop and wrap multiple presents while still in active rehab for many injuries. ~Hamper Recipient

Thank you for your past support! We hope you will consider preparing a hamper this year.

New: Hamper Options:

1.      2011 Women, With or Without Children:

·         The women or families who accessed our programs or stayed at the Shelter this year and have moved on to a safe life without abuse.

·         We will provide you with a family’s wish list.

2.      Expectant “Unknown” Families Who Arrive at Christmas:

·         These are women and/or families who will arrive at the Shelter within days of Christmas. As we are not aware of the demographics now, we will not be able to share exact ages or names.

·         We can provide you with an “imagined” family’s wish list. Your hamper will provide gifts and happiness to incoming residents at Christmas.

3.      General Items for Shelter:

·         We will provide you with a list of items needed year round.

The hamper drop-off dates to the Community Office are December 8 & 9. If you are able to participate this year, please fill in the attached form and return by scanning and emailing to, or by mail to the Community Office.

I would like to be part of the hamper program. I’m interested in option 1. I was unable to access the website. Could you please direct me. Thanks.

I would also like to know more about option 1 and am not able to access the link. Do you provide actual ages of a family that we could deliver a hamper to the family? I thought this may be an option for the office I work in, but do require more information to present to my co-workers. I look forward to hearing from you
